About Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF)

Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) is an umbrella organisation of Nepali sports journalists working throughout the country in media outlets/print/broadcast and online. Currently, nearly 100 active sports journalists are associated with NSJF at the central level apart from boasting nine district coordination committees. NSJF was established in 1995 to unite the sports journalists and raise collective voice for the welfare of sports journalists and promotion of the specialised beat reporting in the country by a handful of active sports journalists. However, the organisation did not function smoothly until new leadership came in 2003. Since then, NSJF has been organising various programs not only for the betterment of sports journalism but also playing a key role for development of whole sports sector of the country.
