Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) is an umbrella organisation of Nepali sports journalists working throughout the country in media outlets/print/broadcast and online. Currently, more than 110 active sports journalists are associated with NSJF at the central level apart from boasting nine district coordination committees.

NSJF was established in 1995 to unite the sports journalists and raise collective voice for the welfare of sports journalists and promotion of the specialised beat reporting in the country by a handful of active sports journalists.

However, the organisation did not function smoothly until new leadership came in 2003. Since then, NSJF has been organising various programs not only for the betterment of sports journalism but also playing a key role for development of whole sports sector of the country.

‘Forum for Development of Sports Journalism’ is the motto of NSJF.NSJF organised the first edition of NSJF Sports Award (currently known as Pulsar Sports Award for sponsorship reasons for almost one and a half decades) in 1996, but it was stalled until 2004.
